Btw we hope you ‘hit the switch’ March 26th for Earth Hour – it’s lights off for a greener future

While St. Patrick’s Day may have passed us by with a vast display of parades across the globe, from Guinness drinking in Ireland, to the Chicago River running green, and even celebrations in Japan and Singapore, here at IBA we have plenty of international activity of our own to celebrate. With exciting placements in top-tier publications, new partnerships announcements, and our own thought leadership content getting off to a flying start – it’s safe to say the start of spring has kicked off with a bang on the B2B front… and we’re only in March! As the Northern hemisphere says goodbye to daylight savings, it’s full steam ahead for the IBA team!

There’s more to green than the Irish tradition – and it’s lights out for Earth Hour

It’s not just Chicago that has decided to make a lasting green impression. Building on from COP26 momentum, we’ve been helping our enterprise software client set a clear sustainability agenda, taking a lead on green hydrogen and its implications on the EUR sector. Our client has also been urging people to ‘hit the switch’ on climate change and support Earth Hour on Saturday 26th March, with a timely and thoughtful comment on how businesses can use modern technologies to improve the sustainability of operations across many industries.

Do hope you ‘hit the switch’ for all non-essential electrical devices and lights at 8:30PM local time on Saturday, March 26th!

UVPMs that count

We write a lot about the value or non-value of UVPMs because it all depends on who is doing the viewing as to whether the figure holds value in B2B metrics – a small number or targeted viewers is usually more highly rated than a big consumer hit (another downside of newsjacking for the wrong reasons). But that said, it’s been all systems go across North America, Benelux, DACH and France for our event broker technology client – and already our campaign efforts have reaped the lucrative UVPM rewards. Hot off the press, the team has secured an interview placement in Journal du Net, a leading French tech publication with an impressive audience of over one million! Now there’s a valuable UVPM metric!

…and upselling and cross selling thought leadership

For our client that provides labelling technology solutions to multinational companies in highly regulated industries, it’s been a strong month of thought leadership placements in both the UK and U.S. with weekly coverage on the topic of industry regulations and tech solutions for compliance. We’ve now secured a top speaking position for them in a leading medical industry event. A nice example of the thought leadership cross sell!

But our labelling client isn’t the only one to enjoy a placement rush. For one of our insurance clients, executive coverage focused on hybrid work culture has earned its place in leading HR journal, Strategic HR. This regular thought leadership momentum led to one of its executives being invited to provide a quarterly expert blog contribution on customer experience (CX). Here’s the upsell!

Let’s not forget to raise a glass to our own momentum

IBA’s very own Simon Woolley has donned his PR analytics hat and authored a piece about how to tell your PR campaign is gaining momentum. It has been picked up by a number of top Marketing and PR publications – so why not check out some of our latest placements in WARC and Social Songbird.

With outreach ongoing and requests for further IBA-authored articles continuing to trickle in, the IBA team certainly has a spring in their step and look forward to seeing what the rest of the year holds, perhaps a pot of coverage gold for IBA and its clients?
