The beginning of 2022 has passed by in a flash. And here we are, with a blink of an eye landing at the end of April ending a financial year and starting the second quarter of 2022. In fact, as I write this blog, it also seems we are celebrating International Dance Day (not a bad holiday to celebrate on a Friday evening), so with this in mind the IBA team is rounding up our recent activities and waltzing through another month of PR action.

So, let’s get straight to it!

A turn of events

Did I mention everything is happening in Miami South Beach? The temperature and journalist interest is rising for our enterprise client’s in person customer event, and our team is working hard to secure a strong reception from international media – and we already have early signals of keen interest!

The same client is at one of the biggest MRO industry events in North America, and we’re busy supporting with timely social media posts before, during and after the show. But that’s not all, the IBA crew always has a finger on the pulse and worked with our client to announce a key customer go-live with one of the biggest U.S. airlines to showcase at the event! A busy month for all parties involved – who said in-person events are dead?

Old becomes new – re-pitching & re-purposing

We’ve taken a laser focus on regional pitching for our contact center solutions client, looking at how we can take existing content and amplify its messaging in Germany and South Africa.

Approved content might be filed away, but our job is to seek it out and ensure its value is not wasted – it’s all about sweating the assets. The team hunted out some excellent industry leadership copy, recalibrated it with up-to-date information and stats, added a pinch of trendjacking and regional relevance – and lo and behold – we have an on-message and up-to-date article to repitch – the result? We landed multiple coverage placements in South Africa and Germany. It’s no secret that recycling PR material can bring some winning campaigns – as IBA CEO Judith Ingleton-Beer recently highlighted in this feature for PR Moment.

Prost, Skol, Cheers to a greener strategy

Our data movement client is working with one of the largest breweries in the world to implement software to support its EverGreen business strategy to make it the World’s Most Connected Brewer. The brewer’s approach to event-driven architecture has allowed it to stay ahead of customer demands, adapt to a fast-changing environment, navigate through inevitable turbulence– all to keep beer flowing across 190 countries and territories. With thought leadership content created and agreed, its full hands-on, IBA now is outreaching across North America and Europe.

Buzzy April in the IBA office

As for many businesses, the end of the financial year can bring a lot of struggle and confusion as to whether one is coming or going – but that’s definitely not the case for the IBA team and its client portfolio. April ends with an excellent spread of coverage and media traction across the globe for events, new items, placements, and much more!

And did I say waltzing into next month? Looks more like we’ll need a quickstep but no one at IBA knows how to do that but we learn fast!
