As we pass the midway point in Q2 and with summer fast approaching – for those in the Northern Hemisphere of course – the month of May has been nothing short of exciting. From blue skies, BBQs and not to mention an incredible result for the United Kingdom at Eurovision, there’s been a big buzz in the office! Alongside the high spirits coming from the IBA office this month, we’ve seen some excellent PR momentum being made across our client base. So, without further ado, here’s a rundown of all the goings on this May!

Hot weather, hot topics and client messaging loud and clear

To start things off, the IBA team and our enterprise client had identified a hot defense topic in naval and maritime manufacturing, and campaign planning has been afoot to make sure our client’s messaging is heard loud and clear! It’s already generated five media placements, including social posts for amplification, a white paper for lead generation and supporting blog for SEO and web traffic – a great demonstration of how to “own the theme”!

We’ve managed to achieve excellent coverage across a magnitude of geographies for this campaign, including North America, Europe and the Asia-Pacific, with many more in the pipeline – so keep your eyes peeled and watch this space.

Industry events are back!

Additionally, our artwork and label management client has been making great strides in two target industries this month. First medical device regulation.

From IBA thought leadership pitching, our client’s subject matter expert was invited by one of the top pharmaceutical manufacturing publications to speak at its annual industry event – the session took place yesterday in front of industry professionals working in compliance, R&D, packaging and labelling and more – nice to see face to face industry events are back.

Powder and patch at the ready

And the Pitch&Place progress doesn’t stop there. The IBA team has also worked on new messaging with another SME to begin a thought leadership push to help our client re-establish its brand within the U.S. and UK cosmetics markets.

Jumping for joy – and TikTok in review

Now this is an exciting one – IBA sponsors Rutland-based, husband and wife equestrian duo Team Jones who have not only set up their very own TikTok account, with the help of IBA social media specialists, but they were off to Badminton International Horse Trials securing an impressive tenth place – no involvement from us there, props to Richard Jones (and his horse of course) for a world-class performance!

We’re monitoring TikTok for its value for B2B. The audience is very targeted which is good, the results are impressive – the follow-on social and media momentum has been fantastic with over 35k views for the teams behind the TikTok videos. And of course, Richard’s achievements are all supported by IBA media pitching, securing some excellent coverage in top equestrian publications.

May the momentum continue

What a month it’s been – outstanding coverage for industry hot topic messaging, clients establishing themselves in different markets, and a new name to watch out for on horse TikTok! With all this pepping us up for the year’s midway mark of June, we’re confidently entering the summer months bright eyed, and bushy tailed, looking ahead to what the next six months have in store.
