IBA event expertise in action!
A week is a long time in both politics and journalism, let alone a month, and last month was an event extravaganza, who said face to face was dead?!
First, we kick off a run of client events that will take us from the industrial city of Birmingham U.K. to the country music capital of the world Nashville, U.S. Then, to a hyper-local event with a community celebration for a long-standing emergency services provider in the heartland of Texas. After that, we’re in the navy to take a dive into industry-led events where journalists and subject matter experts have the perfect platform to talk about top developments in their field.
It’s certainly been an action-packed start to Q2, so roll-up, roll-up – let’s get started:
Marquee international events connect customers, prospects, partners, and journalists…
On to the international scene and our enterprise technology client, who is currently running a stream of consecutive user events across the globe.
First off the mark was a flagship event in Birmingham, U.K., a major industrial hub during the Industrial Revolution. The IBA team has facilitated the prep and was on the ground to support the 10 press/influencers in attendance, which spanned marquee analysts, and, of course, tech and industry journalists.
The event has already generated over 15 items of earned media coverage across news stories, 1:1 interviews, session write-ups, live social media, and even a filmed podcast episode! The fun doesn’t stop there, next stop is the music city of Nashville, U.S. in June, where the team is already lining up a roster of strong industry media registrants!
Local events mean reaching out to local communities
Now we go from international to hyper-local, but with just as much impact. Our emergency services air ambulance client was celebrating 20 years of providing life-saving air care to the surrounding counties of Victoria, in deepest Texas.
The event at its air base provided the perfect opportunity for the air medical team to personally meet local residents to explain how the emergency air ambulance keeps them and their families safe. At the event, IBA secured the attendance of two influential local media publications who conducted interviews with the air medical team and shared the news from the ground. Meanwhile a strategically timed media alert was pitched to more local and state-wide outlets.
All told it was another double-figure coverage haul with 11 placements across key media, and plenty of buzz in the local community!
Industry events provide a platform for in-person introductions
Then come the industry-led events. This month the team has been supporting our aerospace & defense software client at one of the biggest naval shows of the year in Maryland, U.S. featuring the latest developments across sea, air, and space. It also coincided with a new industry director coming into our client’s team who brings over 20 years of military experience into the business.
The strong lineup of attending media was like a match made in heaven for our new exec. The team secured four interviews on the ground, including with one of the world’s biggest weekly defense magazines. We’ve already seen the first interview write-up, not to mention the face time between key journalists and our new subject matter expert has been invaluable to get a head start on his executive profiling!
The show must go on
As event season continues, it’s highly likely IBA will be providing media support at an event near you, we can already hear the country music of Nashville calling!
