TV appearances, climate resilience, and thought leadership take center stage
July has seen a sporting season peak. From the Tour de France and the Open Golf championship in Ireland, to the drama of Wimbledon, and the Lionesses clinching the UEFA Euro finals – July delivered non-stop sporting action. And for the IBA team, there was the much-anticipated return of our annual Founder’s Day at Newmarket races!
While the team didn’t quite win big at the track this year, the same can’t be said for client activity – the winning mindset has been strong – here’s what the IBA team has been up to this month:
PR plays that hit the headlines: Statewide wins from Arizona to Alabama
We’re kicking things off across the pond, where the heat may be intense but PR momentum for our emergency services client has been even hotter.
July opened with a proactive media push highlighting the vital and lifesaving services our client provides for mothers and babies across Arizona. Well, power to the press release yet again! It captured the attention of a major Arizona-based TV network. Eager to go behind-the-scenes, a local news crew visited the helicopter base to learn more about the equipment and meet the expert team of nurses on the front line. The coverage landed our client a prime-time slot on the 5 o’clock news, broadcast statewide!
Heading east to Alabama, the IBA team turned up the heat on another major milestone: the launch of a brand-new emergency air medical base. Through strategic media outreach, we helped drive visibility ahead of the opening, earning top-tier coverage across national emergency services, healthcare, and regional outlets – both on air and in print! Once again, the humble press release proved its worth to capture high-impact coverage.
The climate race: Leading the conversation on resilience
We’re detecting a bit of green fatigue from all the publicity around sustainability and the greenwashing backlash from some of the media. So it was good to see our enterprise cloud and Industrial AI software client announce a strategic partnership with a leading carbon intelligence platform, and the launch of a new emissions management module designed to help companies understand their carbon footprints. A good time to amplify their voice through thought leadership to help companies not just to talk but to do something about measuring and acting.
The coverage is building and being amplified by our thought leadership focusing on disaster mitigation and climate resilience in the energy, utilities, and resources sector. Our stories have made strong moves on both sides of the Atlantic, securing top-tier coverage in leading UK and U.S. energy and sustainability publications.
Timely topics and trusted experts help messages resonate worldwide
We’ve said it before but the message still rings true: journalists write about companies they know – from sources they trust. For our aerospace and defense (A&D) client, this couldn’t be truer. A recent thought leadership article by one of their subject matter experts, offering insight into the lessons to be learned from the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict, has garnered widespread recognition across global defense media. With double-digit placements across leading A&D publications across North America, Europe, Africa, and the Asia-Pacific, and further interest from additional outlets. The impact of using a credible thought leader on a relevant topic is clear!
A performance that kept IBA clients firmly in the spotlight
From transatlantic media coverage to thought leadership that shapes the conversation, July has proved to be a month of standout PR performance. With momentum high and strategy sharp, the IBA team is powering into the second half of the year with a winning mindset.
