It’s a fresh start and big impact as IBA sets the stage for 2025 success
Welcome back to our monthly roundup where we cover off all the PR activity that has kept our team busy this month! 2025 has started strongly with two new clients, one US-based and one UK-based, to add to our roster. Meanwhile, predictions deliver us the PR dream of organic journalist engagements and event attendance generates new pipeline ideas and coverage wins!
So with much to cover off, let’s take a deep dive into what we’ve been up to this January:
Thought leadership articles set the gold standard all year round
This month kicked off with a bang, courtesy of our clients featuring in a number of ‘best of 2024’ roundups in top US target publications for their thought leadership content. First up our connected worker client, whose timely article on how Generative AI can improve productivity on the manufacturing shop floor secured the number 1 spot for most viewed articles in a highly regarded manufacturing online publication above articles from Siemens, Emerson, and Rockwell Automation. This is especially impressive given the article only went live in December 2024!
And one good placement leads to another with the publication’s editorial team choosing to run our client’s latest press release on a similar topic. It’s thought leadership and company news working in perfect harmony!
But the ‘best of’ category entries doesn’t end here, as a Tier 1 technology publication showcased not one but two of our data movement client’s pieces as part of their most read series! One for a customer case study on a leading global brewing company and another for a timely comment on how retailers can cope with seasonal demand surges.
How to deliver the holy grail of journo engagement and become their go-to source for trusted information
This month our clients have been busy looking into their industry crystal balls to draft this year’s prediction pieces. As we’ve said before, prediction articles are a great way of letting the world – prospects and media included – know that you are a true thought leader. It’s the role of a leader to educate the market after all!
Leading the charge has been our Aerospace and Defense client whose defense and commercial prediction articles has seen double digit journalist interest across the globe.
But the real cherry on the cake came in the form of an eagle-eyed journalist from one of the top defense publications. They spotted our client’s recently published defense predictions blog on the company website and wasted no time in reaching out to us for an interview to gather the SME’s thoughts for an expanded feature. This is an example of the holy grail of engagements whereby a journalist comes to our team directly before any article pitching and seeks out contribution from our clients’ SMEs. A great signal that our client has become their go-to source for trusted information.
Successful events keep clients top of mind and ensure a long shelf life
Back in our October roundup, we mentioned how we were supporting our enterprise software client with their international technology conference – but three months on we’re still talking about it! Why? Because the media is too! Attention doesn’t dry up in the immediate aftermath of the event. This month, one of the top-tier industry journalists that our team was able to secure their attendance has continued to publish a number of features which include insights from our client’s keynote sessions. It goes to show there’s a long shelf life when a client’s message is on point!
… and ensure your finger is on the digital pulse to re-fuel the content lifecycle
Yet it’s important to remember that events aren’t just a win for media coverage. Events provide a unique opportunity to gather SMEs in one place and uncover new thought leadership ideas for the content pipeline. They’re also the place to hear from customers about specific use cases that can be used to inform themes in future copy.
This has been the case for our business management software client who last month was asked to judge a prestigious manufacturing award at an annual leader’s summit. Our team has been able to audit our client’s notes from the event to pull together four strong thought leadership ideas which are backed up by interesting customer examples. We are currently in the process of drafting the first article on the digital skills shortage in manufacturing, so watch this space for future updates!
Blue skies ahead as IBA looks for its next team member!
As this month’s activities have shown, we’re growing and exciting PR activities are in full swing at IBA, so we’re keen for an innovative individual to join us in the action!
