June was a wave of new client beginnings, new geographies, and another event-studded month
June typically marks the start of a slog where the ‘Out Of office’ emails pour through, and journalists and editors north of the equator swap leads for sunscreen and a beach towel, or skis and salopettes in the southern hemisphere.
The much-publicized European heatwave isn’t holding back the IBA team from coverage fatigue. While temperature warnings flash orange and red across Europe, green is still high on the radar!
Tap into cultural relevance to beat the summer lull
June neatly kicked off with a sustainability-focused month with World Environment Day on June 5th, for our enterprise software client, spearheaded by a product press release for an agentic AI emissions operating system to allow asset-intensive industries to meet Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions targets.
We struck while the iron was hot and followed up in timely fashion with key takeaways across industry media targets, including manufacturing, energy & utilities, telco, construction & engineering, and supply chain and transportation. Coverage came in double digits across the UK and NA industry markets across our target media.
New season, new client beginnings
The new season is well underway, and with the new season comes a new prospect! Starting a new client campaign can feel daunting, especially when building brand awareness from scratch in unfamiliar markets. But not for the IBA team!
June has seen us kick off a campaign with our new data centre infrastructure client, starting with not one but two big news announcements to get the content pipeline and their global brand awareness moving!
The first announcements focused on Europe’s role in the data center market and shared insight into a new joint venture agreement to supply much-needed battery storage systems to ease data center pressure on the Spanish grid. The second press release announced a major agreement for a new data center campus around the Spanish area of Mora – both performed exceptionally well, raking in a joint total coverage of up to 40+ press placements and counting!
The wider outcome? Stacked coverage across outlets with huge UVPMs, including whopping highs of up to 24 million readers a month, not to mention the SEO benefit from such widespread coverage! June saw our newest client featured across not only big hitters, but also new geographies as coverage spans Europe and the Americas!
Event coverage across the globe and back again in 30 days
Last month we talked about one event, this month we’re here with four – and no, we aren’t talking about the World Cup!
The event season kicked off with two for the price of one at Birmingham’s NEC arena in the UK, where Smart Manufacturing and MedTech Expo took place side by side. At both events, we secured industry interviews, including a video interview opportunity on the expo floor with our business management software clients’ life science SME.
Eurosatory in Paris came next and brought together commercial and defense aviation experts across a huge expo floor. Our team was able to link up our client SME with one of the editors of Europe’s biggest defense and publications for a catch-up.
To close the mammoth event month, we jump over the Atlantic to Calgary, Canada. Where our enterprise software client was hosting a lunch and learn catered to energy & resources experts, focusing on how Industrial AI is transforming the space from energy production to transmission & distribution. We were able to secure the attendance of two Calgary-based energy reporters to cover the illuminating event.
Across this month’s stacked event agenda, we secured interviews cross-continentally, showing our international reach. The event season has turned up a notch!
There’s no time for PR to stay in the shade!
The new season of PR is here, and our Pitch&Place coverage across all industries and geographies is coming in at full force!
As we head deeper into the new season and next quarter, July will prove no exception to another heavy month – the client coverage can only ramp up from here!
