June has been scorcher: blazing through client and industry events and the media coverage has been coming in hot off the press
The temperature’s rising as the northern hemisphere heats up for summer, but team IBA has been keeping its cool with a flurry of coverage for our clients as the PR thermometer continues to rise.
June has been busy, and we can’t believe we are only two weeks into the start of that summer lull! But the signs were on our screens in our last monthly round-up blog, we saw the early signs of a PR heatwave .
And June certainly lived up to its promise. With events and coverage across the globe, there was no area safe from our UV PR rays!
The event-studded summer staycation
Rather than heading to the beach our team was on-site at the Smart Manufacturing Week industry event in Birmingham, one of the UK’s most important digital manufacturing shows. We talked, listened and watched, and blogged our insights straight from the factory floor!
The team swapped lotion and sunglasses for their laptops and clipbooks as we caught up with some of our clients at the manufacturing event before attending some key industry sessions led by some insightful industry professionals. Since then, the team has been placing bylined content on AI data readiness in manufacturing based on our business management client’s presentation at the show which has now landed in a top manufacturing automation publication and an AI-dedicated media platform too!
Nashville Connect – Now we’re talking
But that’s not all for industry expos – as we leap across the pond to support our enterprise software client with their user and customer event in the U.S. in the bustling Country Music Hall of Nashville Tennessee. We were oversubscribed for media attendees but selected four industry journalists covering the ground from the Service, Energy, Utilities, & Resources, Manufacturing, Construction & Engineering, and Aerospace & Defense sectors, so all industries covered!
And did they get to work! The event has already seen 30+ event write-ups, interviews, key customer news, and journalist-led social activity in key industry media – factor 30 anyone!?
Striking while the iron’s hot!
There’s more than one way to generate high quality earned media coverage. One of our clients is definitely having a coverage heatwave! June has proven quite the bumper month our data movement client in specialised industry and horizontal publications across North America and Europe, which has seen 25+ placements across the two geographies in a mix of local languages.
A two-pronged news and thought leadership attack began with the announcement of a new CMO (Chief Marketing Officer) which helped soak up some media warmth across key North American and European tech media. Then, through careful positioning of our themes tracking and client’s key marketing messaging, we’ve been able to leverage the ongoing tariff uncertainty in a positive way! A comment piece from our client’s capital market experts highlighted how its event-driven software allows hedge funds to process record volumes of trades without losing any valuable data – maximizing the margins on every trade at a super-competitive time. Needless to say this has already been snapped up and covered by two leading capital markets/hedge fund outlets in North America. Watch this space in Europe too!

Although the summer has just begun, there’s plenty more PR heat and media coverage coming in hot off the press, so grab your towel, claim your sunbed, lather in sunscreen, and don’t burn! After all, the summer of PR has only just begun…
