The silly season is well and truly over. People are returning to work, finding themselves buried by the piles of uncompleted work from the last couple of months. With just over three months left until the end of the year, it’s time to buckle down and get as much done as possible: budgets need to be checked, performance reviewed, plans for 2018 to be considered. The last quarter is indeed one of the busiest periods of the business and, consequently, the PR calendar.

Here’s how the IBA team has been laying foundations and getting out ahead of the rush. No silly season for us in August which we spent writing copy and pitching to journalists who don’t all go on holiday. It is reaping benefits galore as we approach the final quarter for our clients.

After conducting primary research series around mobility and digital transformation, our enterprise software client in North America provided us with plenty of content to help position them in horizontal and vertical markets. We did the full mix – press releases, survey results, thought leadership and comment pieces, each providing a different angle on the research results. Coverage has been excellent – enabling us to move the company into new horizontal publications including ZDnet and Computerworld.

Our US-based payment processing client has been strengthening its presence and moving into new vertical markets. Last month they released a new solution for the healthcare industry not forgetting of course their integration with major players in the ARM and credit union spaces. IBA secured plenty of coverage around the product developments in a variety of top tier publications, with plans to follow this up with targeted thought leadership copy.

Winning industry awards doesn’t just mean you’ll have a shiny trophy to display, it also gives the perfect opportunity to be featured in the media, and for company promotion through blogs, Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn posts. Our business analytics client seems to have hit the awards jackpot with three of its companies shortlisted for major insurance industry awards – for excellence in data analysis, claims handling and risk modelling solutions. IBA created momentum blogs and a press release – the team has their fingers crossed for three gongs, and writing a winner’s release in the next few weeks!

With IBA skipping the silly season, the PR machine kept marching on for our clients.
