4 things to do in Q4: Strategize, review, assess and repeat!
October was International Strategic Planning Month and in offices all around the world, planning was in full force – the year in review, future industry trends, and next year’s strategy were all on the agenda. Set your goals wisely and reap the rewards next year – a sentiment that was fully embraced by our clients, who are now beginning to concentrate their strategic efforts on 2018. However, with PR activities left to act upon in 2017, we didn’t let the excitement of the new year take over. To make sure our clients started Q4 with a bang, here is how the IBA team has been highlighting their achievements in the past month:
Showcasing industry leadership as the year enters its final quarter was top priority for our communications and networking client. We set out to ensure our client demonstrates a busy pattern of communication to create momentum across key markets before the end of 2017. With the right balance of planning and doing, our Pitch & Place team secured plenty of top-tier coverage with bylined articles on the benefits of next-generation wireless and networking infrastructure in transportation and healthcare publications. For this client, we are on target to hit 1,000 top-tier clippings for the year – that’s almost 20 clippings a week!
Our enterprise software client put research-driven messaging at the heart of its strategic plan, announcing the results of a major survey into Industrial IoT (IIoT) adoption to IT and business press and key vertical publications in field service management, oil & gas, food & beverage manufacturing and more. IBA created a series of press activities around the announcement, consisting of a media alert and interview invitations, followed up by pitching of a blog to further demonstrate IIoT thought-leadership and help our client ‘own’ the theme. The same message from more than one source means your message is more readily believed.
Our payment technology client announced a new partnership to bring a revolutionary mobile bill presentment and payment solution to the healthcare market. This is the latest in a string of strategic PR deliverables, which has included other press releases, bylined articles, social posts and webinars to position our client in a growing vertical market. Last month, this culminated in the client being named as one of the top revenue-cycle management companies in 2017 by a journalist at a leading healthcare publication. To build on this, the client has just kicked-off a survey on payment technology in healthcare, laying the foundation for a stream of data-backed thought leadership content to be drafted in the coming months.
