April marks the start of the second business quarter and, for a lot of countries, the start of the Easter holidays. Here at IBA, the team is looking forward to take some time to reflect on what has been an exciting start to 2019. We certainly won’t be putting our feet up for too long – Q2 is already shaping up to be another busy period – but it is important for PR agencies like ourselves to reflect on progress and results, to help outline future targets and ensure even greater success.

The end of Q1 saw us strike up a relationship with a machine learning spin-out from a world-leading university, and things have got off to a very productive start. We will be running a launch project with a series of press releases and a thought leadership campaign around this key development for their business.

We are always quick to ensure that our international A&D software client gets the global coverage they need. In what was originally an article on the hot topic of digital twins in aviation, we have used our PR expertise and experience to repurpose the messaging, and produce a blog, white paper and webinar around the same theme – all very effective lead generation tools.

Success breeds success and with the help of IBA, our insurance technology client has been shortlisted for a much-coveted industry award that rewards companies for strengthening their brand through transformational business deals. And over in the U.S., our San Francisco-based fintech start-up that we have been working with for a year, is in the final stages of finalizing a big deal – all that hard work and team effort is paying off.

Newsjacking in the B2B world is a fine art, particularly in such a competitive market, but it’s our skills which enable us to set up interviews and place articles in top publications – long may this continue into the new quarter.

April has started strongly, but we will be quickly recharging our batteries to build on this momentum in the run up to summer.

Sam Harris is PR Executive at IBA International.
